Mary Anderson
BA, BSc, AA Dip.(Cons), FRSA, IHBC, AABC, RIBA
Mary is a chartered architect with over thirty
years experience. After working on the listed building re-survey of Lincolnshire
carried out by English Heritage, she went into private practice and has since
been involved almost exclusively with the conservation and repair of historic
structures. As well as undertaking projects for private clients, she has
advised Central and many Local Government Authorities on different aspects of
conservation, including casework, grants and appraisals. Mary is on the
register of architects accredited in building conservation and has successfully
undertaken many projects on sensitive historic buildings, including churches,
monuments, mills, houses and cottages. She has prepared detailed and
comprehensive Conservation Plans for Grade I and Grade II* buildings and
museums. She is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation
and for many years she was on the main committee of the Society for the
Protection of Ancient Buildings. As well as articles for journals she has
co-written several books on historic buildings and archaeology.
Dr John Glenn
PhD (York), AA Dip. (Cons),
MCMI, MI Hort, FRSA.
John is an architectural and
Landscape consultant with many
years experience in the restoration and conservation of historic sites and
buildings. He has
designed and managed many successful projects and is an expert researcher with
extensive practical as well as academic knowledge . He has been consulted on historic landscapes
and buildings by Central and Local Government Authorities, including the writing of
conservation plans, historic appraisals and interpretation strategies. He
also prepares measured surveys and
photographic illustrations of buildings and landscapes. Examples of his work
have been published in journals and specialist encyclopaedias both in the UK and
the USA. He has a PhD in architecture and a post-graduate diploma in
conservation from the Architectural Association, London. He is also a member of
the Institute of Horticulture and of the Chartered Management Institute.
